Get google to crawl your entire site

Google Sitemaps is an easy way for you to submit all your URLs to the Google index and get detailed reports about the visibility of your pages on Google.

Advantages
- Better crawl coverage and fresher search results to help people find more of your web pages.
- A smarter crawl because you can tell us when a page was last modified or how frequently a page changes.
- Detailed reports to learn more about how Google directs traffic to your site and how the Googlebot sees your pages.

How you do it ?

- Creating a Sitemap in a supported format.
- Adding the Sitemap to your Google Sitemaps account.
- Updating your Sitemap when your site changes.

Creating the sitemap is tricky for one how would not know xml. One would need to create a file name with an extension .xml in a notepad. Then for each link that you want google to index you would have to put in the code. Check the one i have for my site.

http://www.selbourne.com/sitemap.xml

loc == the url that you want google to index.
lastmod == when was the file last modified by you.
changefreq == how often will the contents of the file change. This would enable google to index these pages often to fetch the updated content
priority == The priority attribute gives Google information about the relative importance of this page compared to the other pages of your site.
